The Wild Robot is based on the book of the same name by Peter Brown. We follow Roz, a robot, who is stranded on an island after a shipwreck. You can read more about the movie here.
Originally, the film was scheduled for a theatrical release on September 20,2024. The Wild Robot will open against Never Let Go and The Return.
Sony is making a movie based on the board game Clue. The movie is labeled as in-production with no release date.
A movie based on the game was previously released in 1985. The two movies seem to have a similar premise. IMD lists the storyline as "a band of strangers frantically try to figure out who is the murderer among them."
James Bobin (Muppets Most Wanted) is directing. Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds are set to star.
Sony Pictures Classics will release the comedy/drama Between The Temples this summer on August 23, 2024.
Distribution rights for the film were purchased earlier this year, which you can read about here. The movie is about "A cantor in a crisis of faith finds his world turned upside down when his grade school music teacher re-enters his life as his new adult Bat Mitzvah student." (IMDB) A cantor is "an official who sings liturgical music and leads prayer in a synagogue."
Jason Schwartzman plays the cantor. Carol Kane is the music teacher.
