Mark Passio had a good one, on this. He said to watch out for the movies everyone gives bad ratings, because those are often the ones with the messages to suppress.
What gets me is that some of the most important movies ever made don't get bad reviews from the critics, but no reviews at all. Like "Lee'd The Way" some amazing reviews from the public, but no reviews from the critics. If they won't touch a film, what does that say? Maybe they don't understand it? Too Deep?
